So, my Paris recap post was derailed yesterday by Vaaaaaalentine's Day, and today my internet is being glitchy and not wanting to cooperate with me uploading large files (aka the edited final selection from the 300+ pictures I took on Monday).
However, my plans to share a little about my one-day adventure to Paris will not be thwarted, so behold- my trip to Paris shown through the awkward selfies taken with my iPhone.

By midday, a lot more tourists were out and about and offering to help me take pictures of myself in front of things, but by that point I had a series going and felt the need to finish strong. Also, I don't let
Scott touch my phone, much less some stranger in a foreign country. Hah.
As you can see, I hit a lot of the high points in one day- and even though I bought (and used!) a Metro day pass, I still ended up walking 17 miles. By the end my feet felt like little swollen stumps. And then I proceeded to limp around the apartment for the next few days. So if you are going to run away for a day, wear more comfortable shoes than I did- the best way to experience a new city is by foot.
Next week I'll share a few of the highlights of my "real" pictures, because Paris is just too pretty not to share. Until then, enjoy your weekend everybody! Xo!
This is great! Made me laugh since I've done a lot of solo travel before and it's so true that you have to resort to your own methods of documentation.
